Care by material

Short, specific and by material, because a cloth that saves vegan leather will flatten suede.

Corduroy

Brush along the rib with a soft clothes brush. Spot clean with a barely damp cloth and let it dry away from a radiator, because heat sets the shape of a crease.

Suede

Dry brush along the nap. Water marks suede where it dries, so blot rather than rinse, and keep it out of the rain rather than treating it afterwards.

Vegan leather

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry it straight away. Fold lines appear where a bag is stored folded, so store it standing or lightly stuffed.

Mesh and straw

Shake out, rinse mesh under a tap and hang it to dry. Straw dislikes soaking: brush it instead and let it air.

Canvas and quilted

Spot clean. A full machine wash softens the structure permanently, which some people want and most do not.
